Miles Away - Weathered 7” Tour

Miles Away - Weathered 7” Tour

Perth hardcore legends Miles Away are playing some Australian shows after releasing their first new music in five years.

“We are stoked to say that 2015 is the year in which MA is coming out of hibernation!”-  the recent announcement on Miles Away’s official Facebook page that gave hardcore and punk fans around the globe a collective music boner.

Perth’s favourite sons Miles Away are back making music after their extended hiatus following the release of 2010’s epic Endless Roads. Australia, along with the rest of the world, has been hanging out for some new material from these dudes and we were stoked to hear something fresh from them earlier this year. January saw MA release new song Let The Worlds Roll By, one of the stunning tracks from the new Weathered 7”, which picks up seamlessly from where Endless Roads left off.

With a slightly tinkered line-up, Miles Away’s four members have been working on a new album from their respective cities around the globe for the past few years, fitting songs together without even jamming together in person until June last year. They finally hit the studio last July with Jay Maas from Defeater to record the new material, with a fifth full-length MA record due for release later this year.

I can safely say that Miles Away are one of my all time favourite bands and that I am extremely fucking hyped to see them play again and to hear more of the long awaited new material. The boys kick off a short national tour in Perth this Friday in support of the release of the Weathered 7”, before hitting Sydney and Melbourne.
