Listen: Last Dinosaurs - Evie
It's been three years, but a new track is finally out!
In 2012, Last Dinosaurs released their debut album In A Million Years. Closing a near three year hiatus, the Brisbane guitar-pop band released a new track called Evie, the first from a second album due sometime after their performance at Splendour In The Grass in July.
Accompanying Evie's release is an Australian-wide tour, with I Know Leopard, to showcase the single and their earlier songs. This will lead into Splendour, where they'll hopefully share more from their new album.
The band told Triple J that the new album will be more "synth-heavy" so Evie proposes a good intro to its sound. According to singer-guitarist Sean Caskey, there'll be a "really big anthemic" song written by lead guitarist (and brother) Lachlan, as well as a "'disco-y' track inspired by the 'red pill/blue pill' scene from The Matrix."
It's good to have them back.
