Tell us about about yourself?

I am a 23-yr-old singer/songwriter from Melbourne. I juggle leading my own eight-piece live band, playing in Cousin Tony’s Brand New Firebird and running a small clothing label GONZO.

What kinda tunes we talkin’?

A mix of electronic, indie, soul, R&B and pop.

Production/writing process:

I usually make demos on my laptop, write a tonne of lyrics in cafes and then take them to my legend of a producer Matt Neighbour. We record most of it in his studio, and on occasion record the drums at Sing Sing.

Can you tell us about your new single, Better Person?

This song is very special to me. It describes my journey of independence and striving to be the best version of myself. The song originally was about the perspective you gain while travelling overseas, how you do all you can to bring that into your real life. However, as I was recording the song, I went through a break-up. It was a really difficult time but the song turned into a message to myself; that you can’t rely on anyone else to make you happy. You have to look within yourself to find the strength to thrive.

Any shows coming up?

My next show will be the launch of my new EP early next year.

What’s the rest of the year have in store?

I’m going to be focusing all my time on writing new tunes. I really want to tackle an album, I think I’m ready.

Where can we hear more of your music?

Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud all the things…
