Premiere: Listen to Fire And Blood, the ominous new single from Fair Maiden

The newest members of the Hysterical Records fam knock their latest out of the park.

Another day, another excellent release out of the Hysterical Records stable. Yesterday we were fortunate enough to premiere the new EP from Moaning Lisa, and today we're backing it up with the latest single from HR's newest family members, Fair Maiden. The Adelaide-based four-piece have unveiled Fire And Blood, and ominous new single showcasing the lush vocals of frontwoman Ellen Carey, who had this to say on the track: "Fire And Blood is written from the perspective of a woman who is deeply in love but in a relationship that has lost all passion. The woman screams out desperately in her mind and longs for her lover to brutalise her emotionally and physically to reignite the fire and to stop her feeling so hopelessly numb. She never tells her lover any of these desires however and silently suffers forevermore...

"I had the words for the chorus wandering around my head for some time and came up with a simple guitar melody to contrast the intense almost bdsm lyrical vibes. I came up with the verses afterwards to glue the story together. All my lyrics are extremely personal and meaningful, and this song has quite dangerous and secret lyrics that make sense only to me, so when I sing this live, I feel cathartic but also extremely menacing. It’s a fun song to perform live."

Indeed, it's an absolute beauty of a new track, and you can listen to it below ahead of its official release tomorrow, and single launch party on Saturday 3 November at The Post Office Hotel (more info HERE).
