Bicep - CHROMA 001 HELIUM
Belfast’s finest influential production & DJ duo announced the start of a new era with their CHROMA project, consisting of a new record label, events promotion and fresh live set. Fusing breakbeats with analogue synths and chopped vocal samples, HELIUM sounds like a natural evolution of the sounds we heard on their 2021 LP Isles, pushing things in a “darker and more club-focused” music than they’ve been releasing recently. Out now via CHROMA.
Butter - Remedy
After making their return with latest single Balance back in 2022, Fremantle’s finest purveyors of buttery smooth neo soul and hip hop sounds Butter announced their forthcoming, self-titled EP with a fresh single. Opening with striking keys that soon give way to dynamic, live boom bap style drums, a groovy bass line and some nearly-show-stealing horns, frontman Lachlan Payet’s magnetic baritone vocals showcase his storytelling approach to writing effortlessly sounding, tongue twisting bars. Butter’s new EP Butter is out February 13.
Burial - Dreamfear
Iconic cult underground producer returns with a new 12” for XL Recordings, turning in two 12+ minute cuts. On the A-Side is the throwback hardcore epic of Dreamfear, seeing Burial pay homage to the formative rave scene of the early 90s while maintaining his signature sound and some very familiar samples. Del Water Gap - Cigarettes & Wine feat. Holly Humberstone
After a huge 2023 that saw the release of his acclaimed I Miss You Already + I Haven’t Left Yet album, New York’s DWG has wasted no time in releasing latest single Cigarettes & Wine, a rollicking cut of folk-inflected indie-pop, featuring vocals from London’s Holly Humberstone. Hit-Boy & The Alchemist - Morrissey

Sega Bodega - Deer Teeth
Innovative Irish producer & vocalist follows up his recent co-production of Bjork & Rosalia’s Oral with a woozy new cut of downtempo electronic pop that owes as much to underground club sounds as it does chart topping pop.
The Buoys - Guard My Heart
After a huge 2023 of touring and ahead of their appearances at Laneway 2024, Sydney’s The Buoys deliver a driving, anthemic new single that combines vocalist Zoe Catterall’s emotional vocals with The Buoys distinctive and addictive brand of poignant indie rock. Out now via Arcadia Records / Sony.
