Framed: Nemco

Introducing Italian artist Nemco Uno, in Perth for the week as part of the Underline Project.

Elusive graff writer and artist Nemco Uno is back in Australia, this time painting as part of the Fremantle Underline Project along with local legends Amok Island, Kyle Hughes-Odgers, Jessee Lee Johns, Fudge Works, Fecks and Ayres. Nemco's fluid letter structure and heavy use of grayscale, paired with an eccentric de Chirico-meets-pop vibe and animated rendering, make his work weirdly delightful to look at. Much of his bold art exploits properties of line and angle, distorting perceptions of space and depth. In short, it's brilliant, and we can't wait to see his latest upon completion over the next few days.
