WAMAwards 2020: Your guide to public voting, and how to vote

WAMAwards 2020: Your guide to public voting, and how to vote

There are five publically-voted categories this year, with voting open now on Pilerats.

To vote in the 2020 WAMAwards, please head here.

Every year, the WAMAwards is a place for the West Australian music community to gather and celebrate the successes of the last 12 months, and the musicians - and people behind the scenes - who helped West Australian artists thrive in the year prior. Despite everything that happened in 2020 and the impacts all of this had on the music industry, this year's WAMAwards will be no different (albeit held a little later in the year, after the initial WAMAwards/WAMFest/WAMCon combo was delayed due to coronavirus restrictions).

This year, the WAMAwards will be held at His Majesty’s Theatre on March 23rd, with to-be-announced guest performers (tickets are available here). As usual, a lot of the voting is down to industry professionals from both West Australia and interstate, but once again, we're incredibly stoked to be the hosting platform for this year's public voting categories, which capture the peaks and pinnacles of West Australian music at its most popular.

There are five public voting categories this year: Most Popular Act, Most Popular New Act, Most Popular Live Act, Most Popular Venue and Most Popular Live or Streaming Music Event. Together, the public voting categories celebrate the most successful and adored musicians in West Australia and whereabouts they strive, whether it be on the stage in live music venues, or as a part of events both IRL and URL.

You can find the full list of nominations (including those in the public voting categories) below, as well as the form to vote in this year's public voting categories. For those, votes are open from right about now through to 5PM on March 3rd, so jump on quick, and don't miss out!

Get votin' below, and you can find more information on this year's nominees and award ceremony here.
