Miguel drops newest taste of upcoming Netflix original The Get Down via single, Cadillac

The Nas-produced series gets a helping from the R&B crooner.

The latest creation of talented Australian film director Baz Luhrmann (previously of such hit films as The Great Gatsby and Moulin Rouge!), The Get Down, is a week away from its release on Netflix. Co-produced by hip hop legend Nas, and set to star Jaden Smith, The Get Down will highlight the beginnings of hip hop, punk and disco in 1970s New York, and will debut its first six episodes on Netflix, August 12.

Now, fans awaiting the release of the series can rejoice in a taste of the film's upcoming soundtrack via R&B sensation Miguel, who unveils Cadillac, a disco-infused track breathing with the nostalgia and attitudes of the 70s time period the series will focus on. Hear Cadillac below, and look for the release of The Get Down on Netflix, August 12.
