Premiere: Sunsoli - Time and Place

After eight years of playing as The Sea Gypsies, last month Central Coast trio Sunsoli unveiled their new name and today we get our first taste of new music with the upbeat and summery sounds of Time and Place, out July 19 but premiering on Pilerats today!

With the combination of “’sun’ and ’soli’ symbolising our coastal roots and musical harmony”, Sunsoli’s new single certainly lives up to their name, with the sun drenched, coastal vibes shining through their new single of driving and shimmering indie rock, with sparkling lead guitar lines and upfront drums pushing things forward.

Speaking on their new single, the band explained “Time and Place is one of the last songs we wrote on the album. It was actually one of Dan’s demo’s that we put to the side for years until we were looking for the right song to complete the album. Once Dan had refined the music and structure the rest of the song was basically written in a 40 minute drive to rehearsal one evening by Joe. Having a son recently felt like the missing piece of the puzzle for him. Any wrongdoings of the past, or anxieties he had, melted away since bringing that perfect little human into the world.”

Time and Place comes alongside the announcement of their debut self-titled album, with the band also hitting the road for a massive East Coast tour across September to December (see below for all dates). In the meantime, check out Time and Place:
