It’s hard to believe it’s only been eight months since intense, genre-bending quintet Fat Dog released their debut single, King of the Slugs, followed by All The Same at the very start of 2024. Now the indefinable, truly singular group have announced their eagerly awaited debut album, WOOF, alongside wild new single and video Running.

When it comes to the sounds of Running and what to expect from WOOF in general, frontman and squadron leader Joe Love (real name Joe Love) describes their sound perfectly as ‘screaming-into-a-pillow music’, going on to explain “I wanted to make something ridiculous because I was so bored”.

This ‘ridiculous’ sound see the group pulling from a diverse array of influences including Bicep, I.R.O.K, Kamasi Washington, and the Russian experimental EDM group Little Big, resulting in an enthralling and delightfully disorderly blend of electro-punk, rock’n’roll snarling, techno soundscapes, industrial-pop and rave euphoria - summed up nicely as ‘music for letting go’.

With WOOF set for a September 6 release, get excited with the one-two combo of Running and its equally bizarre and fantastic music video:
