With so much new music coming out each and every day, it can be hard to listen to everything... but we'll be damned if we don't try. Here are our favourite tunes from the week that was from the likes of A$AP Rocky, Big Thief, Cigarettes After Sex, Hubcaps, illuminati hotties, Laura Groves, NAMESAKE, Quantic, Róisín Murphy and Slowdive.

A$AP Rocky - RIOT (Rowdy Pipe'n)

Two years after a snippet first leaked, Rocky gives us his latest wrestling referencing single, produced by the one and only Pharrell.

Big Thief - Vampire Empire

Big Thief are back with a new earworm of stripped back indie folk with Vampire Empire at this stage a stand alone single - fingers crossed for an album announcement soon...

Cigarettes After Sex - Bubblegum

Brooklyn-based Greg Gonzalez is back as Cigarettes After Sex doing what he does best - crafting woozy, shoegazey, hypnotic downtempo pop.

Hubcaps - Beside (s) Me

Gadigal land/Sydney ambient dream-pop act Hubcaps announced her debut album with a new single of atmospheric electro-pop. Hubcaps debut album Singing & Songing is out November 17 via Dinosaur City Records.

illuminati hotties - Truck

After teaming up with our own Noah Dillon last year (and dropping a single of her own with Sandwich Sharer), L.A.-based Sarah Tudzin is back as Illuminati Hotties with laidback new single Truck, as we wait for new album news.

Laura Groves - D 4 N (feat. Sampha)

Formerly known as Blue Roses, Groves steps out with a majestic new single of piano pop, teaming up with the one and only Sampha. Laura Groves new album Radio Red is out August 11 via Bella Union.

NAMESAKE - IN DIFFERENT CITIES  feat. Jewel Owusu

Two recent Pile faves teamed up for a cross-country collab of r&b & pop infused drum & bass flavours, with the very appropriate title referring to the fact NAMESAKE is in Boorloo/Perth while Jewel is now based in Naarm/Melbourne.

Quantic - Stand Up

British-born New York-based music wiz Will Holland AKA Quantic dropped his new kaleidoscopic disco anthem as we wait for album news.

Róisín Murphy - You Knew

Murphy continues to build hype for her new album produced by veteran German house icon DJ Koze with the dub techno inflected new four to the floor cut. Róisín Murphy's new album Hit Parade is out September 9 via Ninja Tune.

Slowdive - skin in the game

English dream pop/shoegaze royalty delivered the second single from their first album in six years, with the immersive, driving-yet-mellow sounds of skin in the game. Slowdive's new album everything is alive is out September 1 via Dead Oceans.

Enjoy all these tunes, as well as our singles with our favourite music videos of the week, and a stack of other new sounds we've been feeling in our Office playlist (updated almost daily)!
