Framed: Thoka Maer
Quaint, animated storytelling.
Pseudonymous artist Thoka Maer is a New York-based illustrator and animator who communicates via the humble GIF - an often weird and wonderful form of internet art we introduced with Zolloc a little while back. Thoka Maer's work is often employed to supplement written stories, through quaint and colourful forms tied together by a consistent use of pencil as the main medium. Their clients have included The New York Times, Brooklyn Magazine and TED.
