We’ve been tracking the progress of young Brisbane songwriter/producer Olivia McCarthy, aka JOY. since she first appeared on Young Franco’s Close 2 U EP in 2014. After hearing her first beautiful single Captured, we were honoured to be able to host this live session. School student by day, beatmaker by night, the young multi-instrumentalist tinkered away on the grand piano while showing off her 10/10 vocals, making for a flawless performance. McCarthy warmed our souls with her voice and showed why everyone should be keeping an eye and an ear on this talented girl.
