Seth Rogen made a movie about the horrors of being grocery food called Sausage Party

Framed as a feel good Pixar/Disney animated movie that goes south rapidly.

Yesterday Seth Rogen teased via Twitter the trailer for his upcoming R-Rated CD animated comedy, Sausage Party, and now that trailer is here and it is...hectic.

Taking place in a world where the food that exists in a grocery market believe being taken away by people is some kinda trip the holy land, the trailer is cut perfectly the same beats as a feel-good Disney/Pixar animated film, before things head to some dark and disturbing places. The voice talent involved is the cream of the Hollywood comedy crop - Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd and more, and it's from a story by Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Hill - the same team responsible for the likes of SuperbadPineapple Express and This Is The End. So yeah, pretty safe hands.

It's due August this year, and this trailer has us pretty damn excited for that release:
