Back with the announcement of a long-awaited studio album Headful Of Sugar scheduled for May, New York based rock group Sunflower Bean release new single Who Put You Up To This?, a laid-back groover of a tune.
Gritty yet delicately precious, the track travels through powerful angry moments, with reflective divine ones. Steady beats ticking along to driving bass lines, satisfying guitars and atmospheric keys, while Julia’s vocals soar to express a highly emotive performance.
As a taster of what’s to come, we can expect more whirlwinds of mixed emotions, bassist/vocalist Julia Cummings sharing on the album “Why not make what you want to make on your own terms? Why not make a record that makes you want to dance? Why not make a record that makes you want to scream?”
