Cure your hangover with pics from inside Costa Rica's Sloth Institute

An excuse to post some damn cute sloth pictures, with a nice story about conservation behind it too.

In things you didn't know existed but now you know about you need it in your life, Sam Trull, co founder of the Sloth Institute in Costa Rica, has been keeping sloths who have been abandoned and lost since 2013. The program, which aims to conserve sloth species throughout Costa Rica (individuals that get misplaced from their mothers have a higher chance of not making it to full maturity, due to predations and not being able to source food), has been hugely successful, educating the masses about the complex, balanced lifestyle needed for sloths to survive and that they’re not just cute bundles of sleepy joy – but at the same time, they sort of are, so here’s some flicks taken from inside the institute. You can keep up with the program, as well as adopt your own sloth, via their website.
