Fresh from co-producing best friend and the xx bandmate Oliver Sim’s new album Hideous Bastard (catch our chat with Oliver here), Jamie xx is back in solo banger mode with the Notting Hill Carnival inspired KILL DEM.

First attending the legendary British Caribbean festival as a teenager, Jamie has long been inspired by the energy of these epic soundsystem parties, coming to a head in the dancehall and dub reggae infused new single that this year, he got to play at the festival that inspired it - on jungle legend Shy FX’s Digital Soundboy stage, no less.

Keep your fingers crossed for a new Jamie xx full-length in future, check him out when he plays Falls Festival next year, and give KILL DEM a spin today.
