'Two Weeks In Terceira & São Miguel' by David Mears
A fortnight spent exploring the Azorean Islands on 35mm.
See David's previous submission, Two Days In Taipei, HERE.
I headed over to the Azores, the Portuguese archipelago sitting in the North Atlantic, on the way back to Canada late last year. I spent my days wandering through the small villages, along the beaches they sit on and up the volcanic mountains that rise above them. The coffee was strong, the food was incredible and the people were as easy going as any I’ve come across. These shots capture a little of the laidback lifestyle alongside the stunning scenery on offer I until recently never knew existed. After visiting only two of the nine islands, the Azores are now near the top of my list of places to return to.
Images shot on Ektar 100 with an Asahi Pentax SP, Super Takumar 55mm f1.8 & Super Takumar 28mm f3.5.
