Live Sessions: Wafia - Heartburn
The otherworldly voice of the Brisbane singer resonated beautifully through the WA Ballet Centre.
Private performances from artists you love. Shot in beautiful and unexpected locations, Pile TV's Live Sessions are stripped-back affairs, full of emotion and immediacy.
"Tell me why am I emotional?" We’ve been dying to share this with you! We feel this video totally captures what our Live Sessions series is all about – taking you to the bare core of where a brilliant song begins. This private performance showcases the otherworldly voice of Brisbane singer WAFIA, who sings her delicate slow-burner 'Heartburn' (from her 'XXIX' EP, out now on Future Classic) with eloquent accompaniment by bandmate and pianist Hans van Vliet. Filmed at the West Australian Ballet Centre, located on the historical site of the former Blind Institute in Maylands, built in 1897.
