Watch: Hana - Clay

Electo-pop in the vein of Chvrches and Purity Ring.

There's a Fader piece floating around about Hana; detailing her steady rise from busking around America to meeting her current boyfriend, Blood Diamonds. In particular it focuses on her current alias as Hana when she decided to stop travelling the country and create something meaningful. What formed was a both modern and 80s' synth pop feel with experimental electro-pop laced throughout it. Now sure electro-pop with it's punchy synths, bouncy drums and an often empathetic vocals are nothing new. But it has a real back to basic feel about it where every element compliments the other, pushing Hana's vocals along gently as her voice moves with complete control. Clay is the first of two singles released by Hana, the other being the steel-drum washed out Avalanche with a subdued chorus.
