Welsh producer returns with two new exploratory electronic singles & announces new album, LP.8

Just after the fifth anniversary of her acclaimed self-titled debut full-length album and two years on from Inner Song, Kelly Lee Owens is back with not one but two new singles, the complimentary pairing of experimental electronic compositions Sonic 8 and Olga. Sonic 8 is unsettling and uncomfortable in the best possible ways, with repeated synth pulses and Owens’ entrancing spoken words luring you in, this is a track that could provide a perfect set opener in the right context.

Olga on the other hand is the somewhat the aural opposite - a beautiful slice of meditative ambience that sees Owens’ layered vocal melodies alongside heavenly synths and a big bouncy squarewave bass line pushing things along.

Sonic 8 and Olga will both be featured on her forthcoming album LP.8, out April 29, with Owens saying of the record “For me, 8 meant completion—an album that will ripple infinitely with me personally” (It took me a second to rotate the 8 90 degrees in my mind… got it).
