Listen: Gordi - Can We Work It Out

Gordi releases Can We Work it Out, her third single release and her third reminder that folktronica is awesome.

Sydney musician Gordi’s debut track, Nothing’s As It Seems, gained major attention over 2014; an emotive, live and let live type of song. And now, after her latest release, Can We Work It Out, it is clear she knows how to produce quality folktronica music, a sound that can be so hard to pull off. Can We Work It Out will probably be your newest break-up song. Steady tempo folk and lulling vocals mixed with a twist of synth, Gordi’s latest release is a hard-hitting track that stays thumping in your head long after it has been played. The electronic touch keeps the song fresh and new from all that other folk, while also managing to leave you with passionate raw emotions that you didn’t have before.

Make sure to check out Gordi’s shows in Melbourne on Thursday July 16, Sydney July 18, and also BigSOUND in Brisbane early September, and if you're digging this, check out a remix of Gordi's Taken Blame we premiered HERE.
