Listen: Crooked Colours - Step (Woolymammoth & Tsuruda Remix)

Two of trap's upcoming stars team up for a dark and spooky remix of Crooked Colours' Step.

In the country for a round of Halloween shows, US producer Woolymammoth has released an official remix of WA trio Crooked Colours and their new single Step, a group also in Australia for Halloween shows before jetting off overseas. Teaming up with Tsuruda, the remix perfectly matches the fright of Halloween, with a minimalist re-do of the track. Sampling Hans Zimmer, Woolymammoth darken Step, adding a simplistic, bass-heavy beat and deep synths. It's weird and yes, it's probably not suited for the club like other work by Woolymammoth and Tsuruda, but it will be well recieved this Halloween and will probably fit in well in the next Halloween-themed slasher flick.

Both Woolymammoth and Crooked Colours have shows in Perth this weekend, with Woolymammoth set to perform alongside Shadow Sable at this year's sold-out Metric Halloween (event HERE) on the 30th and Father Halloween on the 31st. Crooked Colours will be performing at both the Sydney and Perth leg of the Falcona x Sweat It Out Halloween parties, alongside Jai Wolf, Yolanda Be Cool and more (event HERE, tickets HERE).
