Premiere: Olivia De Melo - SOAK feat. Wesley Black

Boorloo/Perth-based indie pop singer-songwriter welcomes the warmer months with a feel good new anthem featuring fellow West Aussie Wesley Black

Following a string of singles already released this year, Olivia De Melo has readied her latest slice of aural sunshine in the form of SOAK featuring genre-blurring hip-pop-punk artist Wesley Black, out October 6 but premiering on Pilerats today.

A very timely ode to living life to the fullest despite (or in spite of?) financial constraints, SOAK is a catchy, feel good cut of indie pop, featuring a laidback and groove laden rhythm section, trebly guitar lines and dreamy synths, while De Melo’s angelic vocals are complemented by Black’s husky bars as they trade verses.

With SOAK her fourth single for the year, next on the horizon for De Melo is an EP release while she continues to hone her live show that’s seen her play all around town and shared stages with the likes of Dulcie, Nick Cunningham, Timothy Nelson and more.

Take a SOAK a day ahead of release:
