Music videos are artistic extensions of the songs themselves, with many visual accompaniments becoming just as, if not more iconic than the song it was created for. As usual, some of our favourite songs of the week also had some of our favourite videos, with this week's list including new singles & videos from Alan Palomo, Chromeo, Genesis Owusu, Georgia, Jamila Woods, Jessy Lanza, Maple Glider, The Streets, This Week in the Universe and Thy Art Is Murder.

Alan Palomo - Meutrière feat. Flore Benguigui

The artist formerly known as Neon Indian released the third single from his forthcoming album this week alongside a fun, 80s-movie inspired music video. Alan Palomo's new album World of Hassle is out September 15 via Mom+Pop.

Chromeo - (I Don't Need A) New Girl

With videos as fun and funky as their music Chromeo haven't disappointed on their newest one with the duo in some high speed car action... in a tiny toy car.

Genesis Owusu - Tied Up!

We raved about Owusu's new surreal boxing-themed video here. Genesis Owusu's new album STRUGGLER is out August 18 via OURNESS / AWAL.

Georgia - All Night

We also covered Georgia's new Daft Punk-inspired single and video earlier this week. Georgia's new album Euphoric is out July 28 via Domino.

Jamila Woods - Tiny Garden

Jessy Lanza - Limbo

Canadian Electro-pop maestro returns with an irresistible new single and a clever, creative video featuring one shot of one room, with a leather gimp-suit clad protagonist cutting loose. Jessy Lana's new album Love Hallucination is out July 28 via Hyperdub.

Maple Glider - Dinah

Naarm/Melbourne indie-folk artist Tori Zietsch aka Maple Glider announced her new album this week with a breezy new single and a fun music video that sees Tori in a number of vibrant costumes in bizarre scenarios. Maple Glider's new album I Get Into Trouble is out October 13 via Partisan / Pieater.

The Streets - Troubled Waters

Mike Skinner announced The Streets' first studio album in 12 years with the drum and bass influenced sounds of Troubled Waters, with a video that shows the warts and all side of nightlife. The Streets' new album The Darker The Shadow, The Brighter The Light is out October 20 via Warner.

This Week in the Universe - On the Run feat. KYVA

Sydney electronic production duo dropped their latest single of atmospheric synth-pop alongside an IRL video game themed video that sees a protagonist "on the run" through a wide range of landscapes from city streets to parks and the beach. This Week in the Universe's new EP Everything Is What We Thought It Was is out September 1.

Thy Art Is Murder - Keres

Aussie deathcore legends return with a crushing new single and cinematic, espionage themed video packed with guns, lasers and blood - what more do you need? Thy Art Is Murder's new album Godlike is out September 15 via Human Warfare.
