UberEATS are delivering smashed avocado meals for free all weekend

Good guys Uber are here to help you still afford that house.

Plenty this week was made of THIS pisser of an article in last weekend's The Australian newspaper, a tres clever affair from columnist Bernard Salt attacking the dastardly youth's seemingly most prized possession - the "hipster cafe", with most taking umbrage with this brazen statement:

"I have seen young people order smashed avocado with crumbled feta on five-grain toasted bread at $22 a pop and more. I can afford to eat this for lunch because I am middle-aged and have raised my family. But how can young people afford to eat like this? Shouldn't they be economising by eating at home? How often are they eating out? Twenty-two dollars several times a week could go towards a deposit on a house."

"So this is why we're locked out of the housing market!" the millenials of Australia exclaimed in a sigh of relief, "We just need to stop buying smashed avocado on toast."

It was met with the expected diresion give those same millenials do indeed run the internet, mostly through memes, but today UBEReats have announced some real world activity to finally help you save for that house, announcing today:

"Well, millennials, we too share your love for the humble avocado and we support your right to a guilt-free brunch, so we’ve teamed up with some of your favourite restaurant partners across the country to bring you your city’s best and most affordable #SmashedAvos, without the side order of #SmashedDreams. Delivery is free for all users – and if you’re new to UberEATS, the #SmashedAvo is on the house."

They've organised some special deals with 25 restaurants across Australia, the names of which you can find out HERE.
