Watch: Lime Cordiale - Feel Alright

Lime Cordiale go all sorts of crazy on their new clip for Feel Alright.

Not long ago I left the cinema with a searing headache and aching eyeballs after catching The Avengers: Age of Ultron. This was due entirely to two hours of green screen overkill. My brain was fried.

In contrast, welcome to the new video for Feel Alright from laidback rockers Lime Cordiale. Here’s a clip that left me wearing a large grin and not searching for paracetamol. The video sees the band’s frontmen Ollie and Louie Leimbach venture on a wacky adventure of CGI mayhem. As is expected with the Cordiale crew, they’re not taking things too seriously, simply looking to create something that makes us chuckle. Throughout the footage, we’re witness to a series of fairly eccentric settings after Ollie is ejected to a far off universe. From here on in, Ollie is chewed up and shat out by a freaky red creature, trips out to flying pixies, convinced to buy a yoga ball on telly and snorkels with some rainbow jellyfish. Yeh, it’s a complete and utter wig out but it’s a cheeky use of green screen, which is literally oozing with fun.

The track itself is a gem. The composition consists of characteristic drawling Leimbach vocals, beat-box cuts and belting trombone with a chorus that will sit nicely at the forefront of your brain. It seems this Sydney gang of five are going from strength to strength, following a national tour and appearances across the States including the acclaimed SXSW festival.

If you’re having a flat week throw this on and get swept up by a great homegrown band with a flat out cracking sense of humour.
