Packing distorted, angular guitars, urgent rhythm sections and scintillating vocals are post-punk four-piece Favoured State who have their debut EP It’s A Mess set for release in just a few weeks. After dropping their latest single That’s Life in February, the band are back with a  fun, action packed music video that you can catch premiering on Pilerats today!

The video stars bandmates James, Andrew, Michael and Hugh, with James playing the role of a captive hostage, kidnapped by the rest of the band. Taken to an eerie warehouse location, James is confronted by the other three, all donning clown makeup and suits, and sees a range of fun and frantic scenes involving everything from bouncy castles to magnifying glasses. The conclusion sees stockholm syndrome taking full grip of James who eventually joins his captors in their unsettling dress code.

The latest taste of their debut EP, It’s A Mess saw the band link up with producer Callum Newtown (Amyl & The Sniffers, Moaning Lisa, Tamara and The Dreams) to bring their debut collection of music to life. Ahead of the EP release, take a watch of That’s Life as it premieres on Pilerats:
