Celebrating a decade of making music together this year are the community radio chart topping, multi-award winning The Little Lord Street Band, who in just over a month will release their sophomore album, Time And Place. Before that, however, the band have readied the album’s title track as their latest single, and you can hear it premiering on Pilerats today ahead of its March 22 release!

A mellow slice of blues tinged country vibes, Time And Place sees Natasha Shanks in contemplative & reflective mood as her vocals detail a relatable tale of looking for purpose while thinking back to a time and place you can no longer return to. Written during an APRA songwriting session with acclaimed collaborators Matt Busby (Busby Marou) and Jimmy Davis, Time And Place evokes a certain sense of wistful nostalgia.

"'Time And Place' is a love song about wanting to get back on the road to find purpose amidst life in the suburbs," says Natasha Shanks. "It's about longing for something that's out of reach, yet finding solace in the memories and experiences that shape who we are."

Time And Place (the album) will come nearly four years on from the band’s celebrated debut album, A Minute of Another Day, and will feature 11 songs that range from “lively road-tripping country rock to pensive porch stories”.

"'Time And Place' is a 'looking back' album," explains Jimmy Rogers. “It's about when you get to that point in your life and you look back on what's happened or what's been going on. It's that sort of longing for something that you can't have back. It's quite glass half empty, but at the same time, it’s about enjoying your memories.”
