Premiere: Finn Pearson Band - Everything's Divine

Fremantle-based singer-songwriter and band continues their transition into the rockier side of folk on new single - take a first listen

After already releasing the Sweat & Vermouth EP in February this year, Freo-based folk rocker Finn Pearson and band are back with a new single, the enchanting alt-country-rock influenced sounds of Everything’s Divine, out November 10 but premiering on Pilerats today.

Since the release of Sweat & Vermouth, Finn & his band have been busy developing their sound into the more driving rock side of things as heard on their new single. Drawing inspiration from Australia’s rich rock history as well as contemporary alt-folk styles and featuring a punchy, electric-guitar driven sound. Lyrically, Everything’s Divine sees Pearson exploring “the damaging effect that chronic people-pleasing can have on relationships” from a personal and relatable perspective.

Finn Pearson Band’s new single comes at an exciting time for the group who just recently played Out of the Woods festival as well as supporting local legends The Southern River Band. On the horizon, the band are nominated for Best Country Act at the 2023 WAM Awards - watch this space!

In the meantime, give Everything’s Divine a spin a day ahead of release, and for anyone near Fremantle, you can catch the single launch at Mojos on November 11, with support from Angie Colman, Friends of the Family, and Finn Alexander and the Forever Party.
