Mara Light received her degree in fine arts from the Art Center College of Design in the United States, having grown up in California. With an initial interest in installation art, she later shifted focus to painting and illustration. Well versed in realism, her current body of work depicts women abstracted by layers of paint, dripped and scraped across the surface in contrasting hues.
