This weekend's Good Island Festival to donate all profits to Asylum Seeker Resource Centre

A good show turns up for a important cause.

This Saturday February 4 sees the inaugural Good Island Festival taking over Melbourne, running across four stages and two venues, it features a lineup of acts that are some of this country's most progressive and exciting, acrossing multiple disciplines. And what a lineup it is, featuring spome Pilerats regulars like Kllo, LUCIANBLOMKAMP, Oscar Key Sung and BUOY alongside a host of emerging talents, hitting stages at The Curtin and the Bella Union Bandroom & Ballroom.

With the festival only days away, organisers Good Manners and Wondercore Island have announced that all profits made from the festival will go directly toward the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre:

"Given the current climate politically we think this is a worthwhile gesture of funds and helps highlight the issues refugees are facing worldwide including Manus Island close to home. We're encouraging all patrons to join us in solidarity with ASRC as an organisation doing work on the frontline of refugee advocacy and support."

So check out that lineup below (click poster for tickets), and if you're in Melbourne this weekend we reckon you'd be crazy not to head down and see first hand some of Australian music's future stars, all while helping an important cause.
