RTRFM Asks You To "Keep It Locked" During Radiothon 2022

Iconic WA community radio station launches it’s annual major fundraising event for the year

Hot on the heels of announcing the Northrbridge takeover that is the Radiothon party, today RTRFM announces the details of Radiothon 2022. Its annual donation and subscription drive, Radiothon makes up a chunk of the station’s annual revenue and keeps it on-air as the Sound Alternative, celebrating 45 years of broadcasting this year (the longest running FM station in WA!).

Radiothon 2022 will run from August 5 to August 14, with the theme “keep it locked” a nod to the familiar sign-off often heard from presenters on programs across the board. During this ten day celebration, expect special guests, big prizes and a loving community vibe throughout as listeners are encouraged to donate and subscribe, with subscriptions bringing a stack of discounts and giveaways throughout the year, including the major radiothon prizes.

Station manager Simon Miraudo says even after 45 years, RTRFM is feeling fresh and ready for whatever the future holds. We just need the financial support of our listeners to ensure we can keep sharing alternative music, platforming local voices and putting on the live events you love.”
