Watch: Tei Shi - Bassically

Watch: Tei Shi - Bassically

Brooklyn-based artist-to-watch Tei Shi releases a dangerous new video and announces her EP.

After releasing Bassically and See Me - which put her on our radar massively - last year, Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Tei Shi is becoming a force to be reckoned with, earning herself two #1s on Hype Machine and grabbing the attention of bloggers and musicians far and wide. Now she is back, with the release of a cool-ass video for Bassically, and announcing the release of her EP, Verde. Directed by Nicolas Pesce, the video “looks like what the song sounds like – fun and empowering without taking itself too seriously”. Think a bunch of bad-ass women equipped with PVC pipes, explosions, guns and a nice little dance party at the end, all paying a seriously rad homage to exploitation and grindhouse cinema of times gone by. Bassically will be appearing on her new EP, dropping in Australia on April 17 via Caroline Australia.
