Watch: Kanye West & Vic Mensa – U Mad (Video)

The world famous rapper and his protégé continue the riot they started at the BRIT Awards.

Chicago rapper Vic Mensa has channelled the firey mob energy of Kanye’s Brit Awards performance in his latest video clip for U Mad, the 21-year-old rapper's first single since 2014's Down on My Luck, off his highly anticipated debut EP Street Lights.

For the clip, Roc Nation's latest signee has enlisted Kanye West and a bunch of his $ave Money crew members, for a mad few minutes of moshing. In the chaotic video, which is bathed in red light, the duo mob with their crew, before before police in riot gear throw tear gas. Kanye's stuntin' in a DONDA sweatshirt (with his mother and daughter’s names on the back), and Mensa dons a straightjacket at one point. The clip’s directed by LA filmmaker Grant Singer, who recently did The Hills clip for The Wknd, How Could You Babe for Tobias Jesso Jr, and is behind all of Sky Ferreira’s clips.

Mensa and Kanye are pretty tight of late - Mensa co-wrote Kanye’s All Day, and appeared onstage with Kanye at the BRIT Awards earlier this year. He also rapped on Kanye’s other new-ish song Wolves, too, that West premiered at the launch event for his Adidas collaboration the Yeezy 750 Boost. Singer Sia joined Yeezy and Mensa live on SNL 40 to perform the track a little while back.
