Watch: Shlohmo - Beams

2015 is hereforth known as the year Shlohmo stepped everything up a level.

The time between now and Shlohmo's new album is getting shorter every day, but it still cannot come soon enough. Dark Red is due April 4 via True Panther (pre-order here), and we've already heard Buried and Emerge From Smoke - tracks that already had us feverishly anticipating his first full length since 2011's Bad Vibes. Those tracks have very much fit the dark and moody vibe we've come to associate with LA producer, but Beams signifies that we're in for something really special. I read today a comparison between Beams and M83 (h/t BBE), and it's pretty spot on. Beams packs immense feels, and the scattered nature of the accompanying video clip only enhances the mood. One of 2015's most anticipated release just grows in hype every day, and it's easy to see why:
