Premiere: Drift away with Stonefox's transcendent new single, Dreamstate

The Melbourne trio continue making luscious electronica.

Melbourne-based trio Stonefox have been riding a wave of support online with taste-makers like Majestic Casual and Mr Suicide Sheep championing their dreamy, mellow electronic-pop sounds from the get-go. Most recently heard we were gifted the release of their independent debut EP, Surface, and today we're very excited to premiere a brand new single in Dreamstate. Meticulously crafted in collaboration with producer JP Fung (Last Dinosaurs, Snakadaktal), Dreamstate lives up to its namesake, with gentle, luscious production, underpinning the trio's ever-soothing vocal work.

The amount of energy we put into creating Dreamstate has really refined our sound. When we took it to the studio, we learnt a lot about the complexities of production while staying true to our vision of the song. It’s evolved a lot since it was first written and feels like we’ve really grown as a band in the process,” said the group of the track. Take a listen below, and watch them launch it live Friday 5 August at Yah Yah's in Melbourne supported by Retro Culture and more TBA (tickets HERE).
