Premiere: SHOUSE take us on a journey with an acid-house remix of ALTA's Fix It

The Melbourne-based duo dig deep for a relentless remix, which highlights the dreamy vocals of the original.

Melbourne's ALTA are one of our favourite Australian electronic outfits of late, most recently flipping Kilter's I Hear You on its head with a chilled-out remix edge very reminiscent of names like Jamie XX. Today, ALTA themselves cop the remix treatment, with their subtle Fix It given a tasty, acid-house push by another upcoming Melbourne electronic duo, SHOUSE. SHOUSE - composed of Ed Service of IO and Jack Madin of The Harpoons - add a relentless, percussion-soaked bassline to Fix It's delicate and dreamy vocal line, highlighting these soft vocals while also giving the track an extra club-ready edge through its nostalgic sound. It's actually an incredibly cool remix, with the duo taking Fix It to a place I totally couldn't see heading when listening to the original, something which makes this remix really special and stand-out from the rest. Listen to the remix below, and be sure to catch ALTA at next weekend's Splendour In The Grass.
