Sydney-based producer Dave Rodriguez AKA Godriguez is the production brain and DJ behind one of this country's most exciting young names in hip hop, Sampa The Great, but today we're very excited to premiere an example of what he can do solo with this fantastic take on Polographia's latest single, Sly. It's an incredibly interesting and masterfully thought-out remix, with a stripped back-feeling take that on first listen may seem minimalist, but after repeat listens reveals itself to be a densely layered and intricate affair. Perfectly suited to the at-times leftfield electronica of Polographia, they make for a great pairing.
Polographia are launching Sly this coming Friday 19th of August at Oxford Circus (details HERE), before embarking on a national tour with solo machine Kilter, himself celebrating a new single in the supremely vibey They Don't Know Us. Check those tour dates down the bottom once you've tucked in
