Meet SA.MAY and her intriguing new single, Heart Of Stone

And the energetic new film clip that comes with it.

When we talk about artists like Alison Wonderland hopefully inspiring other young women to enter the production game, people like SA.MAY are who we're talking about. This electronic producer/singer-songwriter out of Sydney's Northern Beaches only has a couple of remixes on her Soundcloud, but already we're loving what we're hearing. She cites Alison, Banks, Flume and others as inspiration, which you can feel on those remixes without it being overbearing. And her debut single, Heart Of Stone, suggests we have plenty to look forward to.

Coming complete with a vibrant new video clip shot by Jess McDonald pushing strong themes of empowerment, the track is a unique blend of chilled out bass, trap hats, off-time snares and intricate sounds. All of which underpin SA.MAY's gentle vocal work and crescendo into a nice little switch-up towards the end. It's the first taste of her debut EP, Still Waters, due later this year, and we'll be first in line to have a listen when it does arrive.
