Madze delivers on a sick future-bass remix of Safia's Embracing Me

The Stoney Roads Records producer channels his inner Flume with a synth-heavy, future-bass remix of the single.

Ideally, Mazde should have been on the 'one to watch' lists since his epic flip of Disclosure's Help Me Lose My Mind, but just in case you haven't been following the German beat-maker's latest moves, he's been on a roll recently charming us with an extensive collection of chilled-out, future-bass-influenced tunes, including the soothing, LissA-featuring single, Pitch Black. While his recent work has been in a league of his own creatively, a lot of the hype surrounding the artist is still based of his Disclosure flip and capitalizing on that, the Stoney Roads Records signee has dropped a remix of Safia's Embracing Me, which sees the producer add a tasty future-bass twist onto the original's beat, while keeping the original vocal melody. The vocals of frontman Ben Woolner-Kirkham soars above an ambient opening to the remix, with off-beat bass stabs and percussion clicks building until an explosive, synth-dominated drop around the 1:20 mark. The remix is reminiscent of Flume's Tennis Courts remix, with booming synth and bass throughout. Listen below.
