Mount Kimbie dig through their record crates, unearthing an unreleased collaboration from 2009 for their radio residency.

This month, English electronic duo Mount Kimbie are taking over London radio station NTS for a month-long residency. With special guests such as Mica Levi and Connan Mockasin forthcoming, the duo last night enlisted the help of Kanye collaborator/all-round amazing dude James Blake for an exclusive interview, as well as also debuting an untitled collaboration. Dating back to 2009, the collaboration never came to light and has remained in it's 'unfinished' stage for years, only for Mount Kimbie to do what I imagine looked like this: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ and release it anyway. A short two-minute blend of sounds typical of the two artists, the collaboration sports soft vocal loops over syncopated percussion work and light synth chords, with a slight urban groove that is no doubt the working of James Blake. You can listen to the unearthed collaboration below, or if you're stuck with nothing to listen to, you can listen to the whole radio show HERE.
