Listen: Kenton Slash Demon - Harpe

Future Classic sign two life-long friends out of Copenhagen.

If you’re in search of euphoric and totally joyous house, you’ve come to the right place because Danish duo Kenton Slash Demon (Silas Moldenhawer and Jonas Kenton) deliver it in spades. Speaking volumes of their ability, the guys have just recently signed with our very own Future Classic label. This is an Aus-Danish affiliation with some serious potential, and it follows more new FC signings news last week with World Champion.

You know that contagious 4x4 beat? The one that allows you to drift off to your own little oasis whilst cutting shapes amongst like-minded music folk. Not only do KSD provide a personal experience through their music, they also encourage a sense of communion on the dancefloor. The tracks they make carry an air of celebration – I can’t help but imagine my closest friends and I getting freaky to tunes from these two at a festival in the not too distant future.

Most recent release Harpe is a testament to all that’s been said above. Kicking off with the twisted cry of a toddler, the track progresses beautifully into a whirlwind of all I can describe as playful house mania. The founding beat that runs strong for seven minutes is infectious – if this doesn’t get you moving then you’re just plain boring. In accompaniment are string combos, rising synthesizers and of course that looping infantile cry. This is a track that will take you to the highest of heights, a track to put you in the best kind of stupor. The Harpe b/w Syko 12-inch is out September 11 on vinyl and September digitally via Future Classic.
