Listen: Favela - Blinker

A 22 year old producer from Leeds you all have to hear.

It’s a known fact that in this day and age there is a host of ‘20-somethings’ across the globe hiding out in studios making amazing music. One of the needles hidden is this very haystack is Favela. Very little is known about this 22 year old kid from Leeds, but the sounds coming from his corner are incredible. The young man is gifted with a voice of the gods and possesses otherworldly production ability. Growing up, Favela was tutored in classical composition and that very precision is evident in his music. If you’re into dulcet and reflective electronica look no further.

Last year Favela gifted his 11,000 or so followers the Easy Yoke EP and I’m glad to announce he’s back with a fresh EP, Future Visions. Stream it in full HERE. The final track on the release is Blinker, a piece that showcases all the talents of this enigmatic Englishman. Utilising the hypnotic effects of a looped key scale and his saintly vocal, Favela takes you on one of the most relaxing musical journeys I guarantee you’ve ever been on. There’s something about the melodies this bloke crafts that for me provoke thoughts of memories past. A little bit of research does reveal Favela idolised Bon Iver, so if you're also in that category (who isn't?), you're gonna love this.

Lie back, shut your eyes and see what comes to mind.
