Jonti announces new album, releases spiralling new single Sleeping and Falling

Tokorats, the Sydney musician's new album and first since 2012, will arrive through Future Classic in November.

It's been five years since Sydney musician Jonti released a full-length record, but that doesn't mean he's been lazy. Since releasing 2012's Sine & Moon, the musician has collaborated with names including The Internet's Steve Lacy, Mark Ronson, BADBADNOTGOOD, King Krule and Australia-bound Earl Sweatshirt, while also moving around and working on his long-awaited third album. Now, following on from the release of two stand-alone singles in Rain and Scrood, Jonti has officially announced his new album Tokorats with the album's leading single, Sleeping and FallingSleeping and Falling is a spiralling, almost six-minute journey of string-filled electronica, combining influences in hip-hop and electronic with a string trio in Jo Ling, Vanessa Tammetta and Tess Nicolaou - who also featured on The Avalanches' Since I Left You. It's really quite a remarkable track, perfect for those breezy summer days we have coming up (or already here, depending on where you're based).

Tokorats, Jonti's third album, includes collaborations with Sampa The Great and will arrive through Future Classic on November 3. Pre-order it HERE.
