E^ST returns with a bouncy new single, Life Goes On

The Australian singer-songwriter wrote the track with Ellie Goulding/Fleet Foxes collaborator Jim Elliot while in the UK.

After last year's sensational EP Get Money! (which included the Mallrat-featuring lead single of the same) and a guest feature on Alice Ivy's break-out Get Me A Drink, Australian musician E^ST has returned with her first solo single of 2017, Life Goes On. Written while travelling through the UK with Ellie Goulding collaborator Jim Elliot, Life Goes On is a perky and upbeat blend of addictive pop and radio-friendly electronica, bringing together festival-ready vocal hooks with a light piano riff and crashing percussion. "As soon as [Jim Elliot] played that piano line I knew what I wanted to write about", E^ST says on the single's creation. "It's something very personal to me, about ghosts that aren't physically with you anymore but still leave an impression. It's admitting to missing someone but accepting that you have to let go of people sometimes."

It's been a while between drinks for E^ST, but with Life Goes On she's back and better than ever, ready to make the remaining few months of 2017 her time to shine once again. Check out the track's video below.
