WA producer Elk Road has ended up a pretty big year in very classy fashion thanks latest single Solid Gold, featuring the ever-delightful vocals of Julia Stone. It's not Stone's first dalliance in electronic music, last year she worked with Golden Features on his big single for that year, Wolfie, and this latest track has equally excellent results. Between this and Hanging By A Thread, Elk Road has been slowly developing a sound that is very unique to him, with a deep bass groves meshing perfectly with an upbeat, at times tropical vibe and some live instrumentation that all combine very well with Stone's coo-ing vocal work. It's a yes from us, bring on summer.
