Premiere: The Belafontes' bust out a back'n'forth belter in new single, Gemini

The Melbourne duo have a 2-minute pearler on their hands.

The Belafontes are a musically-minded Melbourne couple with a knack for writing a good-time garage-punk jam, and latest single Gemini is a perfect picture of their DIY aesthetic and tight af songwriting. Picturing themselves as the stars of 90s cult classic True RomanceGemini packs a punch in its short-but-oh-so-sweet 2:15.

Creating, recording and producing all their music in their own apartment gives it a unique lo-fi edge that feels uniquely their own, and with radio already getting behind their singles so far this year, we're looking forward to seeing more of the duo in the future. Take a listen to Gemini below, and catch 'em live at a few upcoming shows, supporting Jackie Brown Jr next month, and also playing Groove & Graze in Halley Park this Saturday.
