Music Video Premiere: Unicorn - Cats

Watch the Euphoria-inspired party-themed music video for W.A. alt-rockers’ latest single of grungy goodness

After releasing their latest single of grungy alt-rock & pop sounds Cats last year, West Aussie four-piece Unicorn have followed up with a fun, storytelling music video releasing March 21 and premiering on Pilerats today!

Kicking off with a party setting before taking some delightfully bizarre twists and turns, regarding the video the band explain “We were inspired by the tv show Euphoria, and wanted to emulate the party vibe where there is a hint of darkness and some strangeness, yet with hope, cheer and celebration. Much like the song. And life!

Regarding the song itself, singer, songwriter & guitarist Jenna Hardie explains “I wrote 'Cats' a long time ago, back in 2016, when I was reflecting on how we are drawn to certain people, and how certain people are drawn to us. It’s a bit like that saying, "your vibe attracts your tribe". 'Cats' is a celebration of friendship. I wanted to convey that same message in the music video, which takes you on a journey with friends - through all the twists and turns, your people will always be there. That’s the real intention of the song: together we are strong.

Unicorn will be celebrating the release of the Cats music video with a couple of launch shows - see below for dates & details, and check out the video now!
