Premiere: LOS LEO unveils the clip for The End, supporting LANY in Aus

The Adelaide indie-pop singer/songwriter is striving in a year full of big wins.

In the time since we first met Adelaide singer-songwriter LOS LEO (around this time last year), it's become apparent that he's an unstoppable rising force in 2019 Australian indie-pop, seemingly going from strength to strength as he moves. Since Beautiful Mess - the charming intersection of indie, pop and electronica in which was our first introduction to the rising musician - he's gone on to release a twinkling three-track The End earlier this month to further deepen and explore his sound, solidifying his skillset as one of the country's most remarkable songwriters, semi-reminiscent of acts like Japanese Wallpaper (it's an easy comparison, but one that works).

He's become a bit of a force-to-watch on the live circuit too, currently touring the country with cult-adored indie-pop heavyweights LANY and in the process, opening himself up to a whole new audience; fans of LANY's dreamy indie-pop sound sure to find something to love in LOS LEO's. In the midst of said tour (which rolls into Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth this weekend), he's now released the clip to the three-track's name-sake The End, which as he explains, flips the classic 'relationship ending' narrative on its head in a clever video directed by Bill Bleakley. "Tom [LOS LEO] wanted the clip to feel like it’s a story in reverse; so when we see the title The End in the opening shot, it also feels like the actual ending of the narrative," says Bleakley on the clip, filmed in an old, run-down Motel in Charlton, Victoria. "Lighting was everything in this video clip, we had some great lighting rigs - especially in the dreamland bar scenes. This clip was shot over one huge day. I owe big credit to the crew for staying so sharp until we had finished. The semi-trailer truck that we had lined up pulled out an hour before we shot. Somehow our production designer Nick Wilton was able to persuade a truckie to lend us his truck at 10PM at night."

As LOS LEO continues to establish his name as one of 2019's most exciting names, dive into the clip exclusively to Pilerats ahead of its release, and catch LOS LEO touring the country with LANY at the dates underneath:
